Claudio Pettinari is a full professor at the School of Pharmacy, and currently Rector of the University of Camerino, Italy. His main research interests are coordination and bioinorganic chemistry of scorpionate ligands, and recently he has also become interested in the design and synthesis of metal-organic frameworks with biological and catalytic applications. |
Alessia Tombesi is a researcher at the School of Science and Technology, University of Camerino, Italy. She is involved in research lines on new functional materials with potential application in the glass and mirror industry. |
Fabio Marchetti is a full professor at the School of Science and Technology, University of Camerino, Italy. His main research interests are in coordination and bioinorganic chemistry of biologically active metal complexes of acylpyrazolones and their possible applications. |
Corrado Di Nicola is an associate professor at the School of Science and Technology, University of Camerino, Italy. He is mainly involved in research lines on coordination compounds and porous coordination polymers with biological and catalytic activity. |
Riccardo Pettinari is a full professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Camerino, Italy. His research has been recently devoted to the design and synthesis of half sandwich metal complexes with O,O-, O,N- and N,N-chelating ligands with potential applications as non-conventional anticancer prodrugs. |

Abstract
The outcomes of the investigations on the structures and reactivity of a massive number of main group and transition metal complexes containing different families of ligands are reviewed. All the data result from the scientific collaboration between the research groups of Claudio Pettinari and Allan White which lasted fifteen years.
