Halogenated Terpenoids. XXX. The Bromocamphorenic Acids and the Dibromocampholides, and their Fomation from α,α-Dibromocamphor

Abstract

The structures of the bromocamphorenic acids obtained by oxidative rearrangement of α,α-dibromocamphor are now corrected. The structures of four dibromocampholides in the same series are also reported, and a mechanism to account for the formation of the compounds is proposed.
