Abstract
The porphyrin c analogues (4)-(10) were prepared by reaction of the appropriate thiol with the dibromohematoporphyrin adduct (3). The porphyrins were obtained in high yield and purity and were characterized by 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectroscopy and f.a.b. mass spectrometry.
