Abstract
The isolation of the indole alkaloids uncarine E (17), C (16), D (21), glabratine (29) and deoxycordifoline (30) from the fresh bark of Uncaria glabrata DC. ( Rubiaceae ) is reported. The high-field 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectra of these uncarines as well as uncarine B (14) and mitraphylline (12) are recorded and interpreted.
