Abstract
The new depsones, subpicrolichenic acid (2) and superpicrolichenic acid (4) have been shown to co-occur with picrolichenic acid (1) in the lichens Pertusaria amara and P. Truncata respectively. The assigned structures were confirmed by unambiguous synthesis.
