Abstract
Sinapiquinone (4), only the second natural product that incorporates a 1,2-anthraquinone chromophore, and sinapicolone (6), a dihydroanthracenone–anthrone ‘tetramer’, are isolated from the Australasian toadstool Cortinarius sinapicolor and their structures and absolute stereochemistry are determined by spectroscopic methods.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH99079
