Abstract

The synthesis and characterization by infrared, ¹H and ¹³C n.m.r . and mass spectroscopy of the compounds C₅Ph₄(p-C₆H₄R)X (R = H, Me, Et, Bu^t; X = OH, Br, H), C₅Ph₄-n(p-C₆H₄Me)_nO (n = 1, 2, 4), C₅Ph₅-n(p-C₆H₄Me)_nX (n = 2, 3; X = OH, Br) and C₅Ph₄(p-C₆H₄R)Fe(CO)₂Br (R = H, Me, Et, Bu_t) are described.
