Bryotoxins B and C, Toxic Bufadienolide Orthoacetates From the Flowers of Bryophyllum Tubiflorum (Crassulaceae)

Abstract

A mixture of bryotoxins B and C, two new toxins from the flowers of Bryophyllum tubiflorum, was resolved after acetylation and semipreparative silica h.p.l.c . Spectroscopic analysis of the isolated acetates resulted in identification of the toxins as the bufadienolide orthoacetates (3) and (4).
