Chemistry of the Group-1B Metals. XVIII. Crystal and Molecular Structures of Nitratotris(Triphenylphosphine)Silver(I), Ag(O₂NO)(PPh₃)₃

Abstract

The 1 : 3 complex of AgNO₃ and PPh₃ has the silver atom irregularly coordinated by the three PPh₃ ligands and a weakly bonded NO₃ group, attached by two oxygens . Ag(O₂NO)(PPh₃)₃ is monoclinic, space group P2_/n, a 17.980(2), b 13.709(2), c 18.915(3)Ǻ, β 94.91(2)° and Z 4; 2772 independent observed data were refined to R 0.054, R_w 0.061.
