Abstract
Flindercarpin-2, C32H40013, isolated from the bark of Flindersia laecicarpa C.T. White & Francis (Rutaceae) was shown by spectroscopic and crystallographic studies to be a pentanortriterpenoid, methyl (S)-(acetoxy){[3'S-(3α,3aα,4 α,5β,6α,6aα,7α,10aα,11aα)]-5',6'-diacetoxy-7'-(furan-3??-yl)-2',2'-3a',6a',11a'-pentamethyl-12'-methylene-9'-oxo-2',3',3a',4',',6',6a,9',10' 11a'-decahydro-7'H-4',10a'-methano-10a'H-furo[2,3-b]pyrano[3,4-g]oxocin-3'-yl}acetate (2).
