2'-O-Methyltenuiorin, 2''-O-methyltenuiorin and 2',2''-Di-O-methyltenuiorin. Three new tridepsides from the lichen Pseudocyphellaria faveolata

Abstract

The tridepsides 2'-O-methyltenuiorin, 2''-O-methyltenuiorin and 2',2''-di-O-methyltenuiorin have been isolated from the lichen Pseudocyphellaria faveolata in addition to the well known compounds tenuiorin, physciosporin and stictic acid. The structure of the new compounds followed from the spectroscopic data and was confirmed by total synthesis.
