Photochemistry of azole N-oxides. III. Photoinduced ring expansion of 2H-1,2,3-Triazole N-oxides

Abstract

Triaryl-4H-1,3,4,5-oxatriazines, the first members of the general class of oxatriazine heterocycles, have been isolated in high yields from the ultraviolet photolyses of the corresponding triaryl-2H-1,2,3-triazole N-oxides. Crystallographic parameters on one such 1,3,4,5-oxatriazine are also presented.
