Spectral studies of the isomeric tetradentate Schiff bases derived from 1,1,1-Trifluoro-5,5-dimethylhexane-2,4-dione and Ethane-1,2-diamine

Abstract

Two of the three possible isomeric tetradentate Schiff bases obtained from the 2 : 1 condensation of 1,1,1-trifluoro-5,5-dimethylhexane-2,4-dine and ethane-1,2-diamine have been obtained and their structures assigned from infrared, N.M.R. (¹H and ¹⁹F) and mass spectroscopy.
