Abstract
In alkaline deuterium oxide solution the N.M.R. spectra of flavin coenzymes exhibit selective broadening and eventual disappearance of the signals assigned to the flavin ring protons. The effect follows an induction period during which dissolved oxygen is gradually depleted. Disappearance of the peaks reflects a reduction in relaxation times, for which several alternative mechanisms are discussed.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9751609
