Abstract
A number of copper(I) complexes of anils of pyridine-2-carbaldehyde with iodide and bromide as ions have been prepared. The iodo compounds belong to the series [CuLI]2, thought to have a dimeric iodide-bridged structure in the solid state. The compounds with bromide appear to have the ion-pair structure [CuL2] [CuBr2]. The low solubility of both types of complex in organic solvents severely limits their study.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9751367
