Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility of the perchlorate and iodide salts of the hexaureatitanium(III) and hexaureavanadium(III) cations have been measured to temperatures as low as 4 K in the former and 1.5 K in the latter cases. The results were interpreted to deduce the three parameters of the simplest theory for the splitting of the ground T term for each ion. The parameter sets agree only fairly well with results from the magnetic susceptibility and anisotropy data at higher temperatures.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9750439
