Abstract
Chemical and magnetic evidence is presented to support the view that the complex anions FeVO43- and CoVO43- are formed when molten sodium nitrite is electrolysed between electrodes of the appropriate metal or when its salts are added to molten nitrite solutions of Na2O2. The reflectance spectrum of CoVO43- has been recorded between 11000 and 26000 cm-1.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9731137
