Reactions of Stenhouse salts. II. The reaction between Stenhouse salts and sodium sulphite

Abstract

The previously assigned structure of the sodium salts formed by the treatment of the Stenhouse salts derived from primary aromatic amines with sodium sulphite has been shown to be incorrect on spectral evidence. On the basis of the spectral data a new structure is proposed.
