Abstract
The fluorescence decay of phenanthrene has been studied under collision-free conditions in the vapour. Lifetimes have been determined using moderate optical resolution of the exciting light to selectively excite various regions of the absorption spectrum. The lifetime was found to depend on excitation energy. A deuterium isotope effect was also observed.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9730499
