Abstract
The reaction of t-butyl hydroperoxide with copper(11) hexanoate in carbontetrachloride solution has been studied by electronic absorption spectroscopy. An equilibrium system has been proposed which involves substitution of hexanoate anions coordinated to copper by peroxy anions. In addition the equilibria between copper(11) hexanoate and the ligands pyridine, aniline, hexanoic acid, and ethylacetoacetate have been studied.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9721653
