Abstract

The results of an examination of the selenium dehydrogenation of agathic acid and its simple hydrogenation derivatives are reported. Dehydrogenation of intermediate.: has enabled the results to be rationalized into a consistent scheme. The dehydrogenation of methyl sandaracopimarate was also examined at two temperatures.
