Abstract
Further examination of root extracts of Dianella revoluta revealed the presence of methyl 2,4-dihydroxy-3,6-dimethylbenzoate, (-)-4?-hydroxy- 7-methoxy-8-methylflavan, 5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-2-nonacosylchromone (with homologues), and a triquinone, trianellinone. The root extracts of Stypandra grandis yielded (-)-4?-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavan and the same mixture of chromones. The synthesis of some model chromones is described.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9711257
