Abstract
Coordination compounds of some first-row transition metals have been prepared with thiobis(β-diketones). The compounds are polymeric, the degree of polymerization being small. The compounds have low thermal stability. The infrared spectra and proton magnetic resonance spectra of the ligands show that the β-diketone residues are strongly enolized, in agreement with the results of X-ray and neutron diffraction studies to be reported elsewhere. Structures for the polymeric metal complexes are suggested based on the known structures of the ligands and on spectral data in the visible region.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9710735
