Abstract
t-Butyl isopropyl ether decomposes in the range 409-475º by two reactions, one giving isobutene and isopropanol, the other giving propene and t-butanol. The rate constants are described by the equations kl(isobutene) = 1013.37 exp(-55530 ± 450/RT) sec-1 kl(propene) = 1012.96exp(--56480 ± 950/RT) sec-1 Both reactions appear unimoleoular.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9700541
