Abstract
The taxonomically important polyphenol, renantherin, has the probable structure 4,6-dihydroxy-2-methoxy-1,3-xylene. A similar compound, macrantherin, has properties consistent with a substituted phloroglucinol.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9691471
