Abstract
Trispentafluorophenylsilane has been prepared and characterized. The silane has been used to prepare the monohalides, (C6F5)3SiX (X = Cl, Br), as well as the disiloxane, (C6F5)3Si-O-Si(C6F5)3. The silane has also been found to react with the binuclear metal carbonyls Co2(CO)8 and M2(CO)10 (M = Mn, Re) to yield the silyl-metal derivatives. We report the preparation and infrared and mass spectra of these compounds, and their reactivity towards triphenylphosphine.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9690049
