A study of some metal gluconates

Abstract

The properties of a series of metal gluconates isolated from acid and alkaline solution are described. The compounds examined were the simple gluconates of manganese(11), iron(11), zinc(11), cadmium(11), barium(11), and lead(11), and the complex hydroxy species Cd₃(C₆H₁₁0₇)₂(OH)₄,2H₂0, Pb(C₆H₁₀O₇)₂(OH)₂, and Zn₂(C₆H₁₀O₇)(OH)₃.
