Studies using radioisotopes. I. The incorporation of anthranilic acid into acronidine

Abstract

Synthesis of [6-T]anthranilic acid and [3,5-T]anthranilic acid are reported. After administration to Acronychia baueri only the second gives rise to radioactive acronidine, thereby conforming the structure previously based on N.M.R. evidence. The dimethylchromene ring probably arises from mevalonic acid.
