Abstract
The formulae and properties of certain blue and violet peroxyohromium compounds have been investigated, and structures suggested. The blue adducts can be represented as organic base, Cr(O2)2O, blue anions as Cr(O2)2OX- where X is Cl or Br, and the violet anions as Cr(O2)2O2H-, where His thought to be hydrogen-bonded between two oxygen atoms. A relationship between these different forms is suggested. The various properties investigated for the peroxychromium compounds include magnetic susceptibilities, number of peroxy groups, conductivities, molecular weight measurements, and visible, infrared, and N.M.R. spectra.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9680897
