Abstract
2,3-Diphenylglutarimide reacted with phosphorus pentachloride to form 2,5,6-trichloro-3,4-diphenylpyridine, which was readily reduced to 3,4-diphenylpyridine, and 5,6-dichloro-3,4-diphenylpyridin-2-ol, which appears to exist in this tautomeric form.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9680467
