Abstract
Several carboxylato derivatives of bis(cyolopentadienyl)titanium(III), of general formula cp2TiOOCR, have been prepared by precipitation from air-free aqueous solutions of cp2TiCl (cp = C5H5). The compounds are blue or green and paramagnetic, having one unpaired electron per titanium atom. All of the available evidence indicates that the carboxylato ligands are bidentate, symmetrical, and covalently bound to the metal.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9671579
