Inorganic coordination complexes of manganese(II) phthalimide with primary and secondary aliphatic amines

Abstract

A series of complexes of manganese(II) phthalimide with aliphatic amines has been prepared. The general formula Mn(C₈H₄O₂N)₂(amine)₄ is indicated by the analytical data. Conductivity measurements in nitrobenzene indicate the complexes to be non-electrolytes. Infrared and visible absorption spectrophotometric measurements have been made and a possible interpretation of the data has been presented.
