Abstract
The oxidation of thiocyanate ion by peroxomonosulphuric acid in aqueous solution results in the formation of sulphate, cyanide, cyanate, and sulphur dicyanide in proportions which depend upon the pH and the ratio of reactant concentrations. Investigation of these dependences has given some information about the manner in which reaction intermediates are involved.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9661357
