The infrared spectrum of ³²SO₂, ³⁴SO₂, and ³⁵SO₂

Abstract

The potential constants of the SO₂ molecule are determined from the fundamental frequencies of the ³²SO₂ and ³⁴SO₂ isotopic species, and the rotational constants for both ³²SO₂ and ³⁴SO₂ calculated from their rotational-vibrational bands. The fundamental frequencies for ³⁵SO₂ have been obtained from its infrared spectrum.
