Abstract

The following palladium and platinum complexes of the chelating ligands 2-thioamidopyridine (thiopic) and N-methyl-2-aminomethylpyridine (picmene) have been prepared and studied: [PdthiopicX₂], [PdpicmeneX₂], [Pdpicmene₂]I₂, [PtthiopicX₂], [Ptthiopic(NO₂)₂], [Ptthiopic₂](ClO₄)₂, and [PtpicmeneX₂], where X = Cl, Br, I, SCN.
