Abstract
Three meso-tetra(o-substituted phenyl)porphins have been prepared by the Rothemund reaction, and a by-product has been isolated from one reaction mixture. The mechanism of the Rothemund reaction is discussed.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9641028
