Isoflavonoids. I. Some new constituents of Pterocarpus indicus heartwood

Abstract

A new examination of the heartwood of Pterocarpus indicus has revealed the presence of formononetin, isoliquiritigenin, (-)-p-hydroxyhydratropic acid, and a new 2-arylbenzofuran. The previously reported angolensin and pterocarpin were also isolated but no homopterocarpin was detected.
