Abstract
The reactions of barbaloin are shown to be consistent with the formula C21H24O9. It is suggested on the basis of absorption spectra and published data that the molecule contains an aloe-emodinanthrone ring system which cannot enolize to form the anthranol.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9550523
