Abstract
From the leaves of Evodia xanthoxyloides nine alkaloids, evoxanthine, melicopidine, evoxine, xanthevodine, xanthoxoline, evoxanthidine, evodine, evolidine, and evoxoidine were isolated. There was also obtained a tenth nitrogenous substance (X) which was shown to be 4-hydroxy-2,3-dimethoxy-10-methylacridone. This is not claimed to be an alkaloid as it may have been formed by demethylation during the isolation.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9520401
