Abstract
The new phenalenone, myeloconone A2 (6,7,9-trihydroxy-3,8-dimethoxy-4-methyl-1H-phenalen-1-one), has been isolated from the lichen Myeloconis erumpens and the structure (1a) (or an equivalent tautomer) deduced from a combination of spectroscopic data.Keywords: Phenalenone; lichen metabolites;
