Australian Standard for the Hygienic Rendering of Animal Products
Provides a framework for the production of safe rendered animal products by ensuring the hygienic rendering of biological material from animals.
The requirements of this Standard apply to all rendering plants operating in Australia and are mandatory unless alternative compliance has been approved by the controlling Authority. The overall goal of this Standard is to provide framework for the production of safe rendered animal products by ensuring the hygienic rendering of biological material from animals. Rendering plants producing products for human consumption will also need to comply with food safety requirements applicable to those products.
This Standard replaces SCARM 76.
