Abstract
Marsupial cells could be fused using inactivated Sendai virus, and fusion frequencies were comparable to those for similar eutherian cell types. Established lines fused readily, primary diploid fibroblasts fused less well and lymphocytes fused poorly. The effects of varying the virus titre and the time of incubation of the fusion mixture were determined. The optimal conditions for fusion of marsupial cells to form homokaryons are described.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9770461
