Abstract
Desulfoviridin from D. gigas was partially purified by column chromatography and further purified by gel electrophoresis into a major band preparation and a minor band preparation. All partially purified and electrophoretically purified preparations catalysed the methylviologen-linked reduction of sulphite to sulphide, but stoichiometric reduction to sulphide was not demonstrated with the major band preparation. Desulfoviridin did not catalyse the reduction of thiosulphate or trithionate.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9740007
