Abstract

Whole-organ and chopped-tissue explants from 4 genera and 7 species of Australian leptodactylids were incubated at temperatures ranging from 4 to 41°0. The donors were obtained from one of three latitudes, approximately 19°5., 34°S., or 43°S. Intraspecific comparison of temperature tolerance was provided by tissues of Limnodynastes tasmaniensis from both 19°5. and 34°S.
