Abstract
The effects of linkage on the total response to artificial selection in finite populations have been discussed in the second paper of this series, making use of a simple genetic model involving two identical loci of additive effect. In the present paper the following related parameters are discussed: (1) the initial rate of response; (2) the half-life and 0·95 life of the selection process; (3) the number of generations to 50 and 95% fixation; (4) the mean coefficient of linkage disequilibrium; and (5) the coefficient of joint segregation.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9660131
