Abstract
The absorption of calcium and magnesium from solutions of chloride salts by Atriplex spp. and tomato was investigated. In Atriplex divalent cation uptake to leaves remained constant when external concentration was low (1-10 m-equiv/l) but thereafter uptake increased in proportion to· concentration. This response was in contrast to that of tomato where divalent cation uptake was saturated at relatively low concentrations (10-20 m-equiv/l).https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9660037
