Abstract
The extent of the multiplioity of laotate dehydrogenase in ovine tissues has been investigated by means of ion-exohange ohromatography on CM-and DEAE-oellulose, staroh-gel eleotrophoresis, and substrate aotivity ratios. The existenoe of five multiple forms of this enzyme has been demonstrated along with an unusual distribution of aotivity amongst the isoenzymes. These findings have been disoussed in relation to methodology, ontogeny, physiologioal funotion of the parental tetramers, and ruminant metabolism.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9650154
