Abstract
The reduction of the tetrazolium salt, 2-(p-iodophenyl)-3-(p-nitl'ophenyl)- 5-phenyl tetrazolium chloride (INT), has been used to study the enzymatic activity of bull testis cells and epididymal spermatozoa. Significant reduction ofINT occurred when the substrates were succinate, glucose 6-phosphate, lactate, sorbitol, malate, and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate. When ,B-hydroxybutyrate and glutamate were substrates significant reduction of INT Was only found in epididymal spermatozoa.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9640489
