Abstract

Investigations conducted with random populations of a diploid line of' Trifolium ambiguum M. Bieh., inoculated with a stable strain of Rhizobium trifoMi, effective on this clover, and grown under microbiologically controlled conditions, revealed considerable symbiotic variation within the host.
