Abstract
An antifungal compound which conforms to Muller's definition of a phyto· alexin has been isolated from the endocarp tissues of detached pea pods inoculated with Monilinia jructicola. The same compound has been identified in inoculated organs of growing pea plants. This compound, which is an abnormal metabolite of pea tissues, has been named "pisatin".https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9610336
